SANTA’S GIVING PROGRAM
Free Santa visits for children in hospital and in care
Some children won’t be home for Christmas. Through Santa’s Giving Program, Book a Santa Call donates personalized Santa video visits to children’s hospitals, pediatric hospices and children’s charities in Canada and the United States, at no cost to your organization or the families you serve.
OUR COMMITMENT
Every family booking helps a child in care
We set aside a share of every family booking to fund Santa’s Giving Program. Rather than making cash donations, we donate the visits themselves: Santa’s time, the video technology and our support team. Participating organizations and families never pay.
The number of donated visits each season depends on family bookings and Santa’s available appointment times, so we review applications in priority order, starting with children’s hospitals.
WHO CAN APPLY
Reviewed in priority order
Organizations in Canada and the United States that care for or support children are welcome to apply, including registered charities, non-profits, public hospitals and health authorities.
Children’s hospitals & pediatric units
Children’s hospitals and pediatric wards caring for children who are in treatment over the holidays.
Pediatric hospice, palliative & long-term care
Programs caring for children with serious, complex or life-limiting conditions.
Children’s charities & family residences
Charities and non-profits serving children, and residences that house families while a child receives treatment.
Community programs
Schools, libraries, shelters and community groups supporting children facing hardship.
Within each priority level we consider how many children would benefit and how soon your requested dates are. Applying does not guarantee visits, but every application receives a reply.

Santa visits
With a parent or guardian’s permission, staff or families share a child’s first name and interests for Santa’s notebook. An adult stays with the child throughout the visit.
SAFETY AND PRIVACY
Built around your care team
An adult present, always
A staff member, parent or guardian supervises every visit and can end it at any time.
Permission first
Santa receives a child’s first name and interests only after a parent or guardian agrees. We never ask for medical information.
Honest about Santa
Santa is an AI character, and we say so plainly to staff and families. Visits are not recorded. Read our safety information and privacy information.
Before you start
